John 1:1-5 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. A (poor and incorrect) translation I once read of this verse said that the Word was A God. They are only half right. There is an article in the Greek - but it is NOT the indefinite article, it is the definite article - the Word was THE God. Only Jesus Christ fills that claim and description. He alone could say in John 14:6 that He was THE way, THE truth, and THE life, and that NO ONE could come to the Father but by Him. Jesus Christ - our Definite Article.
